Over the course of six hours, American avant-garde composer, arranger, producer, saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist John Zorn will present 12 sets of compositions and improvisations in selected galleries at LACMA.
Navigating the museum, vocal trios, string quartets, percussionists, solo cellists, improvisational duos and more will perform brief works every half hour amid a vast array of art and architecture creating poignant and potent sonic counterpoints through compositions specifically selected for their organic relevance to each particular gallery space.
JACK Quartet, Kenny Wollesen, Dave Lombardo, William Winant and Zorn himself, are just some of the virtuoso musicians who will appear throughout this unique performative exploration.
This event is FREE with $15 general admission to LACMA.
