Fluent in musical languages ranging from soul, R&B, and house to jazz, hip-hop and gospel, Avery*Sunshine expresses herself with a powerful, enveloping voice that sweeps the listener up in stories of love, loss and healing.

Performing with her Grammy Award-winning creative partner and husband guitarist Dana “BigDane” Johnson, Avery’s repertoire features soulful, in-the-pocket R&B grooves, sublime ballads, and exuberant, life-affirming gospel.

This Atlanta-based singer’s no-holds-barred signature sound has garnered her acclaim from such luminaries as Patti LaBelle, Aretha Franklin and Berry Gordy just to name a few. In 2014, her song, “Call My Name,” reached #1 on Billboard's Adult R&B Songs chart. Featured on her sophomore project, The Sunroom, the song was also named ASCAP’s Rhythm and Soul Song of the Year. Avery’s newest album, Four Songs & a Bootleg, showcases her captivating and euphonious voice. The lead single “Lucky” has climbed the charts making it Billboard Top 30 Adult National Airplay.
