Los Angeles-based dance company AteNine, led by former Batsheva Dance Company member and artistic director Danielle Agami, were artists-in-residence last season at the Center for the Art of Performance. This year, we are pleased to present their new work, calling glenn, a collaboration with composer Glenn Kotche, best known as the percussionist for the beloved rock band, Wilco and who will perform onstage live with the dancers.

Agami’s choreography, known for its humor and physical presence, has catapulted AteNine to new heights in the contemporary dance world. They are considered to be one of the most important emerging dance companies on the West Coast. In addition to his rock career, Kotche has composed music for contemporary classical ensembles Kronos Quartet, Silk Road Ensemble, Bang on a Can All-Stars, So Percussion, Eighth Blackbird and many more.
