Join us on the Terrace prior to the 8pm performance of Ladysmith Black Mambazo for some community singing with L.A's Community Chorus. The Chorus performs at protests, marches, picket lines, community-building events, and art performances, providing an additional platform where participants can rally together in a collective expression of commitment to justice, bravery, beauty, change, action, protest, and dissent.
Every other Sunday, Chorus leader Carolyn Pennypacker Riggs and conductor Tany Ling hold 2-hour gatherings with live accompaniment and monthly presenters at Women’s Center for Creative Work.
The Lobby Bar opens at 6:30, singing begins at 7:15. This event is free and open to everyone with or without a ticket to Ladysmith at 8pm. UCLA student/faculty/staff tickets will be available for purchase at the box office or get them here.
Raise your voice and get ready to sing!
