Inspired by Sankai Juko and the themes of Meguri, tonight's pre-show activities feature artists whose work explore an evolving conversation with our changing natural environment. We will screen CAP resident artist Eiko Otake's film, A Body in Fukushima on the Royce Terrace, beginning at 6pm. Other video works by Eiko will also be on exhibit in the West Lobby. In collaboration with our friends at the project Dear Climate, we are constructing a special pop-up meditation room for a meditative listening experience with the natural world.
Our lobby and terrace spaces open at 5:30, drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. You do not need a ticket to the performance of Meguri to attend the film screening or meditation room, but if you change your mind, tickets will be available at the Royce Box Office. UCLA student tickets are always $15, and UCLA faculty and staff are $25. Not a member of the UCLA community? Contact us for special artist/educator rates.
