Whether you're new to UCLA, or making your virtual return back to campus, CAP UCLA welcomes you!  In a "normal" year, at the beginning of fall quarter we'd be gathered in front of Royce Hall to greet you, give you a tour of our amazing theater, and introduce you to our season. But all is not lost — we can't physically gather, but our doors are still open for you to discover an artistic home with us.

We will update this page throughout the year with things to make and do, things to see, and ways to share and connect. All of our events this year are FREE for UCLA students. Check out the programs on our calendar page, click on what interests you and follow the link to UCLA Student Tickets. We hope you'll participate, ask us questions, give feedback, get involved. Do you have an idea for a program or a collaboration? Reach out to us at artinaction.capucla@gmail.com — we'd love to hear from you.

Address the Nation!

Watch the one minute video, follow the prompt. Be Heard.

Table Top Shakespeare: Solo Performance

Do you love Shakespeare? Are you a performer, and willing to explore your inner Bard? If the answer is "yes," this is the program for you!  Submit your interpretation of any monologue or scene in the style of Forced Entertainment's Table Top Shakespeare. Click here for the complete guidelines on how to do it, the scenes and monologues to choose from, and how to submit. Submissions are being accepted through Nov. 15th. Winners receive a virtual one-hour coaching session with members of Forced Entertainment!

One of the best parts of a UCLA education are the connections and relationships that are built within the Bruin community. It's not uncommon to hear of roommates becoming best friends or randomly-assigned lab partners studying together after class. Until we can be on campus together, the UCLA Pen Pal program facilitates a new way to generate unexpected connections that will hopefully grow into meaningful friendships. The program matches two Bruins based on their common interests. You will become pen pals for the quarter, exchanging letters, doodles, art, etc. If you choose to communicate via physical mail, we'll send you prepaid postcards!
Click here if you'd like to be a pen pal, and we'll reach out shortly with more info and your match!

In Our Time: Conversations with Artists

In Our Time is an ongoing series of conversations with artists whose creative lives and work have left an indelible mark in music, arts and culture. Conceived by the longtime President of Nonesuch Records, Robert Hurwitz, his unique history with each of the artists adds perspective and insight. Click here for the full schedule and to RSVP.
