In the world of theater, few experiences are as immersive or as urgent as Disclaimer by the innovative collective Piehole. This isn't just a play — it's an invitation to step into Nargis's (played by playwright Tara Ahmadinejad) living room, where you, the audience, become part of a vital conversation. As the stakes rise, the show explores the cultural tensions between the U.S. and Iran in a setting that echoes the intrigue of an Agatha Christie mystery.

"Disclaimer is an anti-war propaganda play that transforms into a murder mystery," explains Ahmadinejad. "I started writing it in 2017, around when the Muslim ban went into effect. It deals with my fear of never seeing my family again and also just the rampant dehumanization of Middle Easterners, which enables violence."

Can this gathering help "fix" the fractured relationship between two nations? Disclaimer probes deep questions of identity, fear, and the power of cultural (mis)representation in shaping perceptions. In this interactive experience, the line between spectator and participant blurs, and the audience must navigate propaganda, cryptic promises of Persian food, and audience participation that is as lighthearted as it is thought-provoking.

Ready to confront the complexities of global politics in an unexpected and intimate way? Join us for Disclaimer — a theatrical experience where the consequences feel real and the tension unforgettable.
