“Live Night” at The United Theater on Broadway

CAP UCLA and REDCAT are proud to present Live Night: Cruising Bodies, Spirits, and Machines, with UCLA Alumnus rafa esparza, MUXX collective and a soon to be announced surprise artist. Part of the Getty's PST Art: Art & Science Collide public programs, this one-night-only celebration challenges traditional narratives around technology, urging audiences to reimagine our connections with machines in ways that are personal, inclusive and radically inventive.

MUXX collective

Born during a residency at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), MUXX is an artist collective that unites the talents of Lukas Avendaño (a performance artist, choreographer and self-identified 'Muxe'), EYIBRA (formerly Abraham Brody, a composer, performer and multimedia artist), Oswaldo Erreve (digital artist) and NNUX (composer, producer and sound artist).

Rafa Esparza

rafa esparza is a UCLA alumnus (BA, 2011) and a Los Angeles-based artist whose work explores performance, installation and cultural identity. He has exhibited at venues like Artists Space in New York, MASS MoCA and Ballroom Marfa, with group shows at institutions such as the Whitney Museum, SFMOMA and UCLA’s Hammer Museum.

Don’t miss this extraordinary convergence of art, music and performance, where the artist will transform the United Theater into a vibrant space of exploration and expression.
