Dee Dee Bridgewater, a Grammy and Tony Award-winning jazz icon and recipient of an NEA Jazz Masters Fellows Award with honors, boasts a remarkable career spanning four decades. Her vocal prowess has earned worldwide praise, as she masterfully puts her unique touch on standards and fearlessly reimagines jazz classics. Bridging musical genres, Bridgewater started her career as a member of the legendary Thad Jones/Mel Louis Big Band, and throughout the 70s she performed with such jazz notables as Max Roach, Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon and Dizzy Gillespie.
Grammy-winning pianist Bill Charlap is renowned for his performances alongside top artists like Phil Woods, Benny Carter, Gerry Mulligan, and Wynton Marsalis. He excels in interpreting the American popular songbook, showcasing works by Hoagy Carmichael, Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin, and more. Leading the Bill Charlap Trio since 1997, with bassist Peter Washington and drummer Kenny Washington, the group is hailed as one of jazz's finest.
