Celebrated for their intricate patterns and theatricality, Andy Akiho’s compositions have captivated audiences worldwide, with commissions by leading orchestras like the New York Philharmonic and the National Symphony Orchestra.

The groundbreaking sound of the Andy Akiho Trio celebrates adventurous spirit and stylistic fluidity, showcasing the talents of classically trained musicians who are at the forefront of new music.

Join them on a musical tour that promises to be an explosion of excitement, energy, and creativity, as they perform Akiho's original compositions.

Like all DFS programs, this hour-long student matinee performance is free to any Los Angeles area public school, though we do ask that schools make their own transportation arrangements.  If that means you might not be able to attend, let us know.  We may be able to help.  Our Perloff Memorial Bus Fund provides support for bus transportation. We often have more demand that we can accommodate; requests are filled on a first-come basis. Contact us at dfs@cap.ucla.edu for more information.
