Kronos Quartet

Demonstration Performance
Grades 3-5

Kronos Quartet, the renowned, ever-evolving, musically expansive string quartet, celebrates fifty years of innovation. Founded by Harrington in 1973, and featuring David Harrington (violin), John Sherba (violin), Hank Dutt (viola) and Paul Wiancko (cello), Kronos Quartet has challenged the perception of the string quartet. They have commissioned  more than 1,000 works and collaborated with composers and musicians from around the world.

Over the years, the Quartet has built a repertoire that responds to the issues of the time and explores a broad spectrum of cultural expression. Don’t miss the chance to hear selections from their vast musical history in this special program for youth audiences.
