Dubbed “the reigning queen of avant-garde cello,” by The Washington Post, Maya Beiser assembles a team of today’s most celebrated cellists to embark on a fresh musical examination of legendary composer Phillip Glass’ most cherished works. 

Maya’s multi-cello arrangements include Glass’ piano Etudes Nos. 2 and 5, Mad Rush, Music in Similar Motion, and selections from Naqoyqatsi, part of Glass’s Qatsi Trilogy with filmmaker Godfrey Reggio. 

Maya Beiser x Philip Glass in Concert will feature cellists Laura Metcalf, Christine Lamprea, Andrew Yee and Jeffrey Zeigler as they discover new insight into the master composer’s expansive catalog.
