Nano Stern extends his artistic activism from music to film with the documentary We’ll Be Singing by September.
Exploring the history, development and transcendence of Chilean music during the socialist government of Salvador Allende, Stern co-produced this film that marks his continued investment in telling the stories and history of his home country of Chile through art.
After viewing the documentary, join us the following evening on Friday, October 20 at 8 pm as Stern commemorates the 50th anniversary of Chile’s coup d’état by performing the songs of legendary Chilean folk singer and slain political activist Víctor Jara. Stern gives new breath to this immortal repertoire, interspersed with his own richly crafted songs.
Please join us after the film for a post-show discussion with Nano Stern, Juliana Espinal and Cristián Mora.
